Ep. 02 of The Strength Series: Empowering Diversity in the Performing Arts with Stephanie Bartage
I had the honor of interviewing the fierce and inspiring Stephanie Bartage, National United Ms. Baton Rouge, on Episode 02 of The Strength Series.
Stephanie is a woman on a mission, and as the founder and artistic director for the Baton Rouge-based 225 Theatre Collective, she is leading the charge in bringing more representation and inclusivity to the stage. Her passion for the performing arts and dedication to making a difference is truly inspiring.
During our conversation, Stephanie shared with me her personal mantra, "Hazlo y si te da miedo hazlo con miedo," which translates to "Do it, and if you're scared, do it scared." This powerful statement reminds us all that fear is a natural part of taking risks and pursuing our dreams, but we should never let it hold us back. Instead, we should push through our fears and take bold action toward our goals.
In addition to being a fearless advocate for diversity and inclusivity, Stephanie is also a mother and a formally trained theatre performer. Her passion for the arts shines through in all that she does, and her dedication to making a difference is truly admirable.
Thank you, Stephanie, for sharing your story with us and for being a shining example of strength and resilience. Your advocacy for diversity in the performing arts is truly making a difference, and I can't wait to see what amazing things you'll accomplish next.
